Fractional

Fractional CTO

SyncIQ is at the point where technical credibility matters as much as the product itself. Our first corporate partners need to know that someone with serious architectural and security experience is steering the technical direction. That is the role — part strategist, part builder, part trust signal. You will work directly with the founder and have a real seat at the table.

As an early-stage startup, we are realistic about cash today — but focused on building something meaningful. As we grow, there will be opportunities to align longer-term through equity and shared outcomes.

What you'll own
Technical architecture decisions — what we build on, how we scale, and what we don't build yet
Security and Australian Privacy Act compliance sign-off — corporate clients will ask and you'll be the answer
Vetting and direction of any future development hires or agency relationships
Representing the technical foundation in partnership conversations when needed
Input on product roadmap prioritisation — what is technically feasible, what is a distraction
What we're looking for
Senior technical experience — you have built and scaled products before, not just managed them
Familiarity with Australian data sovereignty requirements and the Privacy Act 1988
Experience with modern web infrastructure — Supabase, Stripe, or equivalent stacks
Comfort operating at a fractional level — you know how to be present and impactful without being full-time
Genuine belief in what mentorship infrastructure can do for Australian organisations
Nice to have
Experience in HR tech, workforce platforms, or marketplace products
Network in the Australian enterprise or startup ecosystem
Based in Queensland or connection to the North Queensland market

The person who replicates the founding partnership model at scale across Australian regions. Needs to understand enterprise sales cycles, L&D budgets, and relationship-first selling.

Content & Community ManagerComing Soon

Owns the blog, the mentor contributor programme, and the growing SyncIQ community. Equal parts editorial and community builder. Opens once the blog has momentum and needs a dedicated owner.
